Event Objective: In collaboration with the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS, the third HUMAN INTONATION Co-Ed event continues the conversation to better understand how women and men are communicating with each other in regards to sex, HIV/AIDS, and using protection.

·         The discussion topic for the third forum will address the stigma around HIV testing and the necessity of asking our partners questions we may not want to know the answer to.

·         HIV testing plays a critical role in remaining safe in our relationships but how many of us are even willing to ask questions such as “Have you ever been tested?”, “If so, when is the last time and what were the results?”, “If not, when do you plan to get tested?”

·         How does the relationship dynamic change when one person is open to discussing HIV testing and the other is not?

·         What do you do when your partner has never been tested? Do you feel empowered to insist that your partner get tested before engaging in sex?

·         How can HIV testing be used as a tool of manipulation in the relationship? If there is no commitment is the question even brought up?
